Student records

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Cape Town (UCT) currently pursues the physically distanced, low-density campus approach to teaching - see Campus Communications.

No staff or students are permitted on campus without an invitation from the University. As a result, the Student Records Office is physically closed and only online remote service remains in place.

All current students can access their proof of registration electronically via their PeopleSoft Student Self Service account

There is no indication of when the SRO will be permitted to re-open. Please regularly monitor the UCT website for updates.

 

While we are able to verify whether a person has a particular qualification from UCT or not, we are not able to release to parents, guardians and other third parties any private information pertaining to current or past students' academic records, nor can we release copies of those academic records without written consent or proof of power of attorney, unless the disclosure complies with an obligation imposed by law.
